Printmakers from Funens Printmaking Studio open the doors to their working workshops and invite the public inside at our studios at Hollufgaard.
Here, visitors have a unique opportunity to experience how different graphic techniques such as woodcuts, linocuts, intaglio and collography are used. Look over the artists' shoulders as they roll, print and experiment, and see how the motifs emerge on the large printing presses in the workshop at Hollufgaard.
The event provides a vivid insight into the graphic process – from idea to finished print – and creates a direct dialogue between artists and the audience.

Mini-Workshop in Serigraphy
Get a unique introduction to the world of screen printing and try your hand at our workshop. You will gain insight into both processes and possibilities, see the large lighting apparatus, hold a frame in your hand and try working with printing paste. Together we create small, personal prints with plenty of opportunity for experimentation and creative expression.

Linocut workshop with Hardy Ernst - June 19. - 21.
We etch, cut, polish, scratch and much more in linoleum and thereby achieve some incredible effects and shapes. We print in multi-color and in both thick and thin layers of printing ink.
Your perception of linocut and its many possibilities will definitely be changed after this workshop.

With screen printing, you can transfer photos, drawings and text to many different materials. You can create textures and structures with objects and freehand drawing.
The course is an introduction to screen printing. With screen printing, you can transfer, among other things, photos, drawings and text to many different materials. You can also create textures and structures with objects and freehand drawing. The possibilities are vast, and the process can be long, so there are many ways to adjust, specialize and refine the work. At the same time, there are many steps where something can go wrong if the technique is not completely in place. That is why we start from scratch. If you already have experience with screen printing, you are also very welcome.
We work with frame and squeegee handling and print a lot with an open frame and physical reserve. We also talk about different printing pastes. We print on both paper and fabric. In addition, we go through the practical work required when illuminating frames, including choosing frame fabric, spreading photo emulsion and cleaning.
Please bring sketches, ideas for motifs or previous graphic works that you would like to convert into screen prints, as well as a computer if you are used to working in Photoshop, as well as a pencil, sketch paper and practical clothing.

COLLOGRAFI-WORKSHOP
Come and experience the creative joy of collography, where you work with intaglio in a simple and inspiring way. Here we use cardboard as a printing plate, and you get the opportunity to cut, scratch and draw your very own expression. The plate is inked, wiped by hand and then run through the printing press, so that the motif is transferred to the paper. Along the way, you can work with multiple colors and create exciting layers in your print.
